Cultural Geography and members

Cultural Geography, not really my interest but i found the article by Smith interesting. It is interesting that only about 26% of members responded to the email and mail surveys that were sent out. I did expect that most of the respondents had Ph.D.s but i thought more would respond to the questioner. I did not know that modern American Cultural Geography started in Berkley, CA with Carl Sauer. Some of his "spin off" schools were ranked among the top of institutions for Cultural Geography. As for most outstanding practitioners of cultural geography, the top two; Zelinsky and Lewis are the only two I have heard much about and know who they are. This article was interesting in seeing the wide diversity of members of the CGSG, from Ph.D.s to students and women and men from all over the world.
