The Urban Fringe

The article Land use dynamics looks at the how land and people are categorized when it comes to land use. Technology has played a role in the collection of data used to define this. Aerial photographs are now replaced by high imagery satellites for data collection. All the maps that are used show different ways to portray essentially the same information, just using different methods. Some of these may be misleading when compared to others. The author has a good point in thinking that their needs to be improvements on the process to be able to get a more complete understanding of land use.
